About us

We, Silke and Ellmer Behling live 30 km southeast of Bremen in northern Germany. Our primary occupation is our agricultural enterprise.

After volunteering for the dog obedience school of the animal shelter Bochum and gaining insight into various dog training methods, I achieved the hunting license in 2003 in order to train and handle my dogs in this area as well.

Always by our side are our Chesapeake Bay Retriever girls
Fanny (Jennie BB's Chesapeake Breeding gew. 1998),
her daughter Piper (Fools Farm's Bonny Lass of Hardwood gew. 2005) and our third generation:
Pheebee (Fools Farm's Devils Lass of Hardwood gew. 2011).

Our kennel Fools Farm’s was founded in 2002, after Fanny’s two litters (A-litter and B-litter)– which produced wonderful puppies – we took a small break in order to gain Piper’s breeding license, which she passed with flying colors. We are more than proud to carry on our breeding with this special girl (C-litter and D-litter).

It is very important for a Chesapeake to be kept busy with mental work as well as physical action. Our dogs are purely engaged in the hunt but this is for sure not a must for a Chessie. Since we occupy a large area for hunting and training, we can engage our dogs in hunting easily and by now it is our passion.
